TPLD-PROGRAM: Programmer not working after firmware update

Hello team,

After I updated the firmware of TPLD-PROGRAMMER, the programmer doesn't work anymore.
It is not detected by the interconnect studio. (It was detected before the firmware update)

My Interconnect Studio requested me to update the firmware of ther programmer.
(I am using InterConnect Studio 1.6.0+1155)

What should I do? Can I reprogram the old firmware?

    Hi Kei,

    Did you follow all of the steps when updating the firmware properly, disconnecting and reconnecting the device when prompted? It sounds like the programmer did not properly flash with the new firmware. You can reprogram the old firmware if necessary, but there are multiple steps and it is more involved. 

    Our engineer who maintains ICS is out on vacation right now so I have to wait to ask him if there's an easy way to re-flash the firmware. Otherwise I can provide you with instructions on how to reinstall the old firmware manually if you want to do that.

    Thank you for your quick reply.

    I have confirmed that customer has followed every steps correctly for updating the firmware.
    They are using Windows11, does the new firmware support Windows11?

    Hi Kei,

    Yes, the firmware should support windows 11. I've uploaded instructions on how to update the firmware manually, as well as the software needed to perform the update. When you get to step 3, it is possible that the customer's programmer will not respond to "&" or "#", because the firmware has been erased from the programmer and was not flashed properly. In that case, the customer should proceed with the rest of the instructions normally.

    Hello Malcolm-san,

    The manual update didn't work for the customer.
    Programmer is no longer recognized correctly in device manager (windows).
    It shows Tiva Device Firmware Update on device manager.

    Is it possible you try programmer with interconnect studio v1.6.0?
    Do you see and firmware update requested by the GUI?

    Hi Kei,

    Did he try to connect his programmer to interconnect studio?

    This just means his device is waiting for the firmware update. He either needs to run the TPLD 1.0.0 BSL Batch File or flash the firmware using ICS.

    If this is too difficult, maybe we can just send him another programmer. I apologize for this, it's very hard to debug this sort of issue over e2e.

    Hi Malcom-san,

    Yes, he tried connecting the programmer to interconnect studio, but it was not recognized.

    No problem, I have ordered new programmer for him.
