SN74HC165-Q1: Leakage current

Part Number: SN74HC165-Q1

Hi team,

We are working on a replacement for NEX. During testing, the customer found that for SN74HC165QPWRG4Q1, when the system enters sleep mode (without supplying power to the chip), there is still about 0.9V at the VCC pin, which causes the static current to exceed the range. Please help analyze the reason.

BR,

Daniel

  • Hi Daniel,

Without more information on the system, there's not much I can offer. Are you applying a voltage to any of the pins? When you say that power is not applied to the chip, are you leaving the pin floating or are you trying to drive the pin to GND? If you are leaving the pin floating, then the voltage is essentially random.
