TPLD2001-RJY-EVM: Request the layout file

Part Number: TPLD2001-RJY-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPLD2001

Hi Sir,

May I request the TPLD2001-RJY-EVM PCBA file or layout file?

My client requires the file for debugging purposes.

  • Hi Henry,

I will look into getting that for you in the mean time is it possible to get the information you need from the User Guide? On the 15th page it includes images of the schematics, the PCB layout, and a PCB overview.

    Regards,

    Owen

  • Hi Sir,

My client would like to measure the input current and quiescent current of the TPLD2001 at pin 1 (VCC) of the X1 socket. Could you please provide some comments or guidance on this measurement?

They moved the TPLD program and used the extended power supply of 3.3V. The measured quiescent current is 1.5mA.
  • Hi Henry,

This can be kind of tough with our EVM board, as the potentiometers and the power LED will consume power even when not connected to the device. If they are fine with a rough estimate they could remove the TPLD2001 from the socket. Get a measurement of how much current the EVM board is pulling from the external power supply then add the device back and take the difference.

Another option would be to do some desoldering. For the most part we have made it easy to disconnect things like the potentiometers by desoldering the 0 ohm resistors like R10B, R11B, R12B, and R9B.

    Desolder the power LED

    Lastly desolder the protection circuitry

The last option would be making a coupon board for this device similar to 14-24-NL-LOGIC-EVM. Unfortunately at this time we do not have a coupon board layout supported for this package, so it would be on you/your client to make a coupon board program a device then continue with the test.

    Regards,

    Owen

  • Hi Henry,

I've attached the PCB file for the EVM.
