SN74LVC2G240: schmitt trigger inputs

Part Number: SN74LVC2G240

Hello,

Does the SN74LVC2G240DCT have schmitt trigger action at all inputs, making it tolerant of slower input rise and fall times?

The data-sheet for the SN74LVC2G240DCT does not explicitly state that the chip does have schmitt inputs, however it is suggested by some of the parameters.

The equivalent part from Nexperia (74LVC2G240) explicitly states in their datasheet that their version of this chip has schmitt trigger action at all inputs, so I'm wondering about the TI version.

Thanks

Jorgen

  • LVC inputs (of all manufacturers) have a hysteresis of about 100 mV to prevent oscillations for normal signals, but this is much less than a 'real' Schmitt-trigger input.

Both the 74LVC2G240 and the SN74LVC2G240 require input rise/fall times to not exceed 10 ns/V with a 3.3 V supply.
