LSF0108-Q1: Regarding Pull up values

Part Number: LSF0108-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXV0108-Q1

Hi team,
I am using the following Voltage level ranslating part in my design.

LSF0108QPWRQ1

I came across some of the cases in the forum saying that It requires Pull up resistors for the Signals.

i am using this level translator for Translating the Level of the GPIO sigle ended signals from 1.2V-1.8V (Configurable) to 1.8V -3.3V confirgurable.

My Speed requirement is 100MHz,

Please guide me to choose the pull up resistors values and where it is necessary.

Since it is 8 channel i have used 10K Pull up for both the side, A[1:8] pulled up to vref A, B[1:8] Pulled up to Vref B.

Please suggest.

Looking forward to your response,

Thank you and best regards,
Maharajan P

  • Hello,

While the device can support 100MHz, note that the device architecture is FET based so there isn't any buffering of the output signals. If at all possible, I would recommend using a fixed direction/ direction controlled translator instead that can better suit signals at these high speeds: TXV0108-Q1/ AXC8T245-Q1/AVC8T245-Q1. These devices also do not require pullup resistors at the outputs, allowing for more direct implementation.
