TPLD1201: TPLD1201 - Build state machine

Hi!

Using the TPLD1201, how do I design a state machine with 1 start bit, 6 bits. and 1 stopbit? When the correct 6 bits are continuously received the output shall be held high.

How do I build that circuit in Interconnect Studio?

For clarity, this is a bit stream, correct? What is the data frequency? This seems outside the scope of TPLD1201.

Yes and no. The sequence would be set and known by the TPLD1201. It is possible for me to set the frequency and number of bits if that helps.

Is it still outside the scope?

Hi Hitte, Yes. The TPLD1201 only has 4 D flip flops, so it only supports up to 4 bits on a state machine. I recommend looking at the TPLD1202. It has an 8 bit state machine.

Hi Hitte, Yes, the TPLD2001 is similar, but with more internal blocks.
