TPLD1201: Emulate new FW while OTP fusing is done

Part Number: TPLD1201
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPLD1202

Hello team,

Is our TPLD series can be emulated after OTP fusing is done?

Why are we use 8V fusing memory instead of normal flash memory?

Just curious, why can't do 8V OTP fusing in the field. I saw it's kind of confidential. But why is it confidential!?????

Thank you

  • Hi Ryan,

could you please elaborate more in the emulated question?

The voltage is dependent of the type of memory chosen for this devices. I

For a OTP fusing in the field you can use a Zener diode (like BZX84C3V6LT1G) + Resistor

  • Hi Gerardo,

    Thanks for your answer.

    I have a two questions.

    1. Is it mandatory to use Zener diode to set a voltage? Or, can I just use power supply and set 8V output? Is it also possible?

    2. Based on TPLD1202 datasheet. Vpp is 8V. So, could you check my sequence to download FW on TPLD?

    2.1) Power on of TPLD

2.2) Connect 8V power to GPI pin

2.3) select Permanently Configure Device and click config?
