TXS0102: shift issue

Part Number: TXS0102

Hi Team,

we currently using the TXS0102 device for the MIIM interface design and have the following issue that we would like your assistance in confirm,

  1. MAC side voltage:3.3v, PHY sode voltage:2.5v, TXS0102: OE pin is pulled high to VccA with a 10k resistor.
  2. the current issue is that the MDC/MDIO signal on the MAC side cannot be observed on the PHY side after passing through the TXS0102, Neither MDC nor MDIO signals are detected on the PHY side.

We would appreciate your assistance in checking this issue. Thank you.

Note: The MAC side MDC frequency is approximately 2.72 MHz. According to the TXS0102 specifications, the maximum data rate is 2 Mbps (open-drain).

Could we first understand what the preliminary issue might be? we would also like to learn you, tks.

  • Hi Tommy,

What is the VCCA/ VCCB/ OE status during time of test? Are you able to provide any waveforms of the probed inputs and outputs? Note that the MDC signal is generally push-pull and the 2.72MHz CLK should at least past if the concern was bandwidth limitation with the device.

    Regards,

    Jack
