Hello, I am planning to use two SN74AHC595 shift registers in parallel, using the same controller pins (SER, RCLK and SRCLK). Can I operate these shift registers at the same time?
Thanks a lot

Hello,
Can you please provide a bit more information about your implementation? What does parallel mean ?
Connected parallelly, pin by pin or representing some parallel data?
When all controll inputs, including SER, are connected in parallel, then all chips will output the same signals. This is usually not useful.
The '595 is designed to allow cascading, i.e., connecting the QH' output to the SER input of the next chip. This gives you 16 controllable outputs.
