Hello,

For CD74HCT04M96 only the max input impedance is given. What would be the typical input capacitance? Thanks in advance!

    We do not have the typ capacitance values specced in this part. We only have the max capacitance. 

    May I ask the context of your question so I can try to help in another way?

    Hi Albert,

    You may have heard a small change regarding Nexperia recently :-)

    I am replacing some Nexperia components for TI parts, one of these is 74HCT04D,653 to CD74HCT04M96. The Nexperia datasheet only lists the typical value and TI only the max. I foresee no issues however the customer is wondering about this change in spec.

    The CD74HCT04 was originally acquired from Harris, but after PCN#20211220002.1, I expect it to use the same die as the SN74HCT04. That datasheet specifies a typical input capacitance of 3 pF, but it was not updated after the PCN. I'd guess that the actual input capacitance is similar to that of the SN74HCSxx devices (which is not specified either, but the maximum is lower).

    Hi Clemens,

    Thank you for your answer, helps a lot! I also verified the differences by swapping the components and comparing them. I see no noticeable changes on the scope.
