SN74LVC1G123: Request for Non-Encrypted HSPICE Model

Part Number: SN74LVC1G123

Hi experts,

I have a customer using Keysight ADS to evaluate SN74LVC1G123.
I checked the HSPICE model downloaded from TI.com and confirmed that it contains protected (.prot FREELIB) sections. The customer is unable to use the model properly in ADS.
Could you provide a non-encrypted HSPICE model for this device?

Thank you.
Katsuhiro
  • Hi Katsuhiro,

All of our HSPICE models, at least for our product line, are encrypted. These contain transistor-level details, so if they were unencrypted they would give away our IP.

What are they trying to do in ADS? Usually we use ADS to perform IBIS simulations, and the SPICE simulations are performed in a different engine.

    Best,

    Malcolm

  • Hi Malcolm,

The customer confirmed that they can proceed using their ideal functional model together with the IBIS model and will evaluate this approach first.

At this point, there are no additional questions regarding the encrypted HSPICE model. Therefore, we can close this topic.

    Thank you for your support.

    Best Regards,

    Katsuhiro
