Hello All,

I have a sensor (File Attached) that gives me a digital signal with high (12 V) and low (0 V). However, my Digital Input module (File Attached) can only go up to 5 V. Thus, I need to somehow convert the signal coming from the sensor into 5 V.

Following is what I have right now

I am using ULN2004A to convert a high signal from the sensor (12 V) to a low signal of 0 V and a low signal (0 V) from the sensor to 5 V using a pull-up resistor. The schematic is attached below.

What I am interested in is if there is a better and easier way to achieve what I am doing here.

Please Advise.

This part would do it. Set Vdd to 5V and the input could be 12V.

Unfortunately we do not have models for any of the parts we purchases from Harris Semi. anything that begins with a CD. We did not get the data needed to creat models in the purchase.
