TXB0304 Output Current Drive?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0304

If I use a TXB0304 to translate from 3.3V <--> 1.0V, what is the output drive capability?

  • Hi,

For TXB0304, since we have the 1kohms serial resistor, so it has a little higher drive capability than others.

As you know, if you source or sink more current from the part, it will have the influence for the Voh, and Vol, you can calculate your VOh and Vol based the current you want to source and sink, here is the draft formula, Voh= Vout -Isouce* 1.5K, Vol =Isink *1.5K.

if the Voh and Vol can meet your requirement when you drive the current you want, that will be OK to use this part and means TXB0304 can drive the receiver.  any further thing, please let me know.
