Regarding the level translator with series termination resistor

Hi ,

For one of my design,Im in need of 16bit buffer or transceiver with inbuilt series termination resistor.The input side voltage is 3.3V and output side voltage is 5V.

Can anybody suggest the suitable device in this?

Hi,

You can use the SN74AVCB164245, it doesn't have series resistor but it has output impedance dinamic control (DOC). You can read about DOC here:

If you need bus hold, there is also a SN74AVCBH164245 version.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.But im in need of 3.V to 5V level transaltor.I believe this device does not have that future.

You are correct, somehow it is a mistake in the selection table, there it is written that it can operate up to 5V. Even the product parametrics say that... but the datasheet doesn't say the same.

You can try with the SN74ALVC164245, it will make the 3.3 to 5V conversion but it doesn't have DOC so you will need external series resistors.
