TXB0108 + decoupling capacitor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0108

Hi there,

I am planning on implementing the TXB0108 voltage level translator in one of my designs, but I just one quick question.  In the schematic shown on page 3 of the datasheet, it depicts two capacitors connected to the two voltage source connections.  I was just wondering what should be the values of these capacitors.

  • Hi, Kevin

Usually we use the 0.1uF to be the common decoupling capacitor. but if your power supply has a specific frquency ripple, you need to add another capcaitor to filter that ripple. higher frequency ripple use samller capacitor, lower frequency use larger capacitor.
