heavy changing air pressure

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74ACT00

Hi,

I am asking me what impact may a heavy changing air pressure have on parts like the SN74ACT00. But not only this part . Think of a small Logic Board in something like a vacuum chamber where the air pressure is changing in a short time (1 minute or less) from normal pressure to under 10mbar and thats may be a hundred times a day.

Do you see any impact?

Best regards

  • Hello Aleus,

    Space parts might be usable:

"Our space parts are 100% hermetic, so are not affected by operating in a 0 air pressure environment."

    see:

  • Hello Lo,

thank you for your answer, but sorry space parts are overdone for my problem, I think. I don't need radiation immune parts, I don't have a wide temperature range, I don't need devices which are testet many times more than usual.

I hoped that someone could tell me that changes in pressure up to this or that level are okay. Maybe we have to obey some restrictions in the pressure changing rate.

On the other hand, we have a vacuum machine to get out the air from our moisture bags which reach at least a pressure level of 10mbar.  And I think other companies will do the same, if this is a real problem for the devices TI should print huge warnings on every datasheet.

    Regards,
