Hi,

I want to design variable oscillator 1-80MHZ frequency with 5-10V Amplitude so i want which ic sutable for this application? and can anyone have circuit diagram for the same.

    The CDCE906 can be a good candidate for the frequency generation part, it has a wide range for the internal Vco, and combined with the output dividers, it gives you a good granularity even for low output frequencies. To achieve the amplitude you want you will need additional circuitry.

    I don't know if there are simpler solutions for you, but this device does the job, in my opinnion.

    1. If i interface LPC2368 controller with CDCE906 for I2C communication without interface intermidiate driver IC and using LPC2368 i will send commands to write register values in CDCE906  to set output frequency is this right way ?

    2.Can you suggest any Power device to drive high frequency signal(1-80Mhz) and  its finial output should be 10V-15V .

    Regarding the physical layer of the I2C, both devices are 3.3V, so no problem there. The protocol layer, which is SMBus, is beyond my field of knowledge, you will have to see if there are drivers for that for your processor. But yes, no interface is needed to connect I2C between the two devices.

    For the amplifier, one candidate can be the ths3001
