LVC family maximum transient output current

The absolute maximum output current for LVC family devices is typically +/-50mA Continuous.  When driving large capacitance loads, however, the peak transient current can be significantly larger.  At some point, the 'fusing' current of the device will be exceeded and a conductor will typically go open.  Does TI have any recommendation for "peak transient current" or maximum capicitance load for this family of devices?
