Dynamic supply current of LAN Switch

Thank you for your answer of dynamic supply current.

I have another question form customer.

Customer want to switch the LAN signal as following Case-1 and Case-2 using TS3lxxx (Please refer to attached file).

   Case-1:Connect  PHY and Port A
   Case-2:Connect Port A and Port B

I think transformer should place between LAN switch and RJ45 LAN port A and B to isolate external LAN signal and LAN switch.

Case-1 is OK, but Case-2 has 2 transformer between LAN port A and LAN port B and case some problem.

Please advice advice how to solve problem of Case-2.

Of course you could use jacks with built-in magnetics and save the separate parts on the PWB.

Can you say whether Case-2 worked?

I am trying to do the same thing, and am also worried about signal attenuation due to the 2 additional sets of magnetics in the path.

I have no information for your question, because customer didn't use Case-2 because of 2 transformers.
