ADS1299

  • hi EVERYBODY!!!

I wanna to drive the ADS1299 with the pic18f452 across SPI comunication. but reading the data sheet of the ADC. it makes mention of some control registers.

I don't have any idea how to write these registers.

I hope somebody can help me!!!

    best regards!!!

  • I'm sure there are plenty of examples in the Internet of how to use SPI with the PIC devices. Maybe check out that manufacturer's website and search for app note AN1006 and adapt.

Otherwise, you might want to find a PIC user's forum and ask there.

YOu should ask your question in the data converters forum, as this is the MSP430 microcontroller forum where neithe rthe ADS nor the PIC belong to (the PIC being not even a TI product at all).

And marking your own question as verified answer does not only make no sense, it also keeps 'officials' from reading your thread at all, as it apparenly already contains a verified (tha tmeasn, sufficient) answer and can be ignored.

Of course you gain yourself some points for the verification.

  • Hello ,
Please I need your help for the ADS1299 circuit for an acquisition of EEG signal please help me ,

I'm a mounting ADS1299 but I do not know what is right or wrong?
    here is the installation:

    8713.EEG.pdf

Please Help me ,that it is very urgent need to get my diploma at the end of study please

    Thank you in advance

We likely don't know either. Maybe if you describe exactly what is not working and what you've tried in order to make it work you might have better luck.

  • I'm developing an EEG acquisition device and I was using the ADS1299, according to the data scheet the ADS1299 offer a max gain of 24 but i know EEG have low amplitude signals , so schould i use some pre-amplifier such AD620 or INA 333??

And I have a big problem to convert the 24 bit Delata SEGMA (binary to nimbre reel) to design the EEG signal with software on the PC.
I read that the gain of an EEG signal with traditional methods (with Amplification instrimentation) is almost gain 1000 ,why I don't  know how ADS1299 with a gain of 24 gets an EEG signal?

    thank you

    Thanks in advance

  • I have same question when I start working on ADS1291, you can read this article

    http://www.ti.com/lit/an/sbaa160a/sbaa160a.pdf,

it answer the question you asked.
