TXB0108 pull-up and pull-down resistor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0108, TXS0206A, TXS0206-29

Hi,

On the TXB0108, can I use both pull-up and pull-down resistor like below?

  • Hide,

May I suggest using an application specific SD Card translator, such as the TXS0206A?

The TXS0206-29 is similar to the TXS0206A but with an LDO that provides 2.9V to the SD Card in addition to voltage translation.

Could you go into more detail about why you intended to use the pull-up/pull-down resistors and if you think they are still necessary with the TXS0206A?

    Regards,

    Brian

  • Brian,

    Thanks for the reply.

I will ask them why they intend to use pull-up/pull-down resistors.

They will not necessary with the TXS0206A because of BGA package.  They require lead package.

  • Brian,

Let me ask you an another question on TXB0108.

In case of connecting Port A to Host CPU without pull-up/pull-down resistors, and connecting Port B to SD Card with pull-up resistors on the CMD and Data line, I guess Port A side is Hi-Z state and Port B side is steady High while under the Disable condition.  When it turns to Enable, does Port A side keep Hi-Z state or High level due to pull-up resistors?
