Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC245A
Hello, I am using a SN74LVC8T245 in my application to translate 5V signal to 3.3V. I am powering both sides of SN74LVC8T245 with 3.3V (Port A and B).
The B side is my input port and A side my output port. Can I put a 5V signal on B side even if I am powering B side with 3.3V? In other words, is this IC 5V tolerant (like SN74LVC245A)? Because Datasheet specifies 5.5V max input voltage when in input mode but I don't know if that means is 5V tolerant.
