Now we are evaluating SN74LV4046A for our new design, then would like to know the detail of VCO characteristic on this device.
Please see the comment below, and feedback us with your comment.
We understand that SN74LV4046A is linearity improved version of CD74HC4046A, but oscillation performance on these device are slightly different.
Now we are at the stage of having fine tuning to select proper R1, R2 and C1 values. However, we could not find information on SN74LV4046A datasheet to compare actual different points on each devices.
Therefore, please let us ask you to disclose following information on SN74LV4046A.
1. Logic Diagram (If this is same as page 3 of CD74HC4046A datasheet, we could refer to this.)
2. Typical performance curves (We assume that this characteristic is different between SN74LV4046A and CD74HC4046A, since your recommended R1 and R2 values are different on these device.) Especially, we need this information regarding Typical VCO Frequency vs VCOIN, such as described at Figure 16 to Figure 21 on CD74HC4046A datasheet.
