74LVC16T245 - Behavior when powered off

Hi,

We are working on a project based on one mother board and her daughter board with two differents power supply (same ground reference).

The architecture of the system is :

My questions are :

When the system state is : Mother board On, Daughter board Off (the LVC16T245 is not powered (VCCA and VCCB)), what is the behavior of the input of the level shifter ?

How to ensure a Hi-Z potential on the input VCCB (connected on the mother board) when the daughter board is powered off ?

By advance thank you,

BR

BK

  • Hi BK,

When Daughter card is power off, the input of translator is at Hi-Z state.

When input is at Hi-Z state and floating, the potential is not exact value. If input is connected with other certain signal, the translator input will be same as the signal.

    Best Regards
