I2C Level shifting w/ TXS or TXB Devices

I am not able to find anything on the TXS0302 or TXS0304 devices that you mentioned. But I was able to find the TXB0302, which looks like it should work for you.

Lastly, if you wanted you could consider implementing it discretely. You would just need to make sure the VGS of your FET you use can turn on with less than 1.2Volts on it.

Unfortunately, it says on p. 6 of the TXB0302 datasheet that these devices are not applicable for I2C systems.

The same can be said of any TXB010x device (e.g. TXB0104).

There are no TXS030x devices as of yet, and as a result there are not any auto-direction sensing parts that are suitable to translate I2C (open-drain I/Os) down to 1.2V

I can also look into the material referencing the TXS0302 and make an effort to correct this typo. Do you have a link to one of these pages?

It is as I expected, the TXB devices look interesting but not for I2C as you mention.

Hi Brian,

More research (and chance) has led me to the 74GTL2010 device. Any thoughts on the use of 2 channels of this for I2C with others for GPIO level translation?
