Driving the direction of the TXB0104

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0104, TXS0104E

We would like to use the TXB0104 with the LTC5800-IPM microcontroller but we have concerns about the ability of the LTC5800 to have the drive strength to properly control direction. Do many microcontrollers have this problem? How much drive strength exactly is needed?

  • Hi,

I don't get LTC5800 I/O drive current parameter. For TXB0104, the external drive current should be more than 2mA. The parameter will depend on board level parameter, such as paracitic cap introduce by PCB trace. If the external driver current is not enough, could you please check TXS0104E?

    Thanks
