SN74TVC16222A Input clamps

Hi,

From the datasheet it would appear that the clamp channels are protected for negative voltage swings.

Are the channels protected from a maximum voltage swing, say in excess of 7V?

I.e. if the clamp is setup to translate 5V CMOS to 3.3V CMOS and the 5V input swings to greater than 7V will the clamp channel be damaged or is there a protection diode for each of the clamp channels?

Thanks,
