Hi

I am using the LSF0108 part for bi-directional voltage translation. I am using for the following interfaces: MDIO, I2C and GPIO level translation. I am connecting VREFA to 1.8V and VREFB to 3.3V.

If I need to level shift a signal which is at 1.8V to 3.3V, is it necessary to add pull up resistor for the signal in the input line i.e. 1.8V  signal and the 3.3V  output signal?. Please clarify.

In the datasheet page 17 (Multiple Voltage Translation in Single Device) - there is no pull up resistors shown for the 1.8V level signals. But for application circuit in page 15 both the input and output side signals have pull up resistors.Please clarify.
