SN74LV4046A / termination unused pins

Hi,

Our customer is considering SN74LV4046A.

If they don't use internal VCO, how could unused pins be terminated?

The unused pins are INH, VCOIN, C1A, C1B, R1 and R2.

Hi,

I post E2E before, but I haven't got your answer yet.

Our customer is considering terminal unused pins as described below.

・INH -> Pull-up(1k～10kohm)

・VCOIN -> Pull-down(connect to GND)

・C1A,C1B,R1 and R2 -> Open

Could you give me some advice?

I know the connection you have listed are correct. I think you need to also tie the C1A and C1B to gnd.

I have attached an appnote on the HC4046 that may help you.

Could we terminate the C1A and C1B open ?

Or do we have to tie the C1A and C1B to gnd?

These can float or be tied to gnd. one of the pins is gnd internal.
