SN74LVC2G126 Pulse width distortion

Hello,

I am using an SM74LV2G126 in one of my projects. But i want to know the pulse width distortion because this is important for my application.

However I cannot find this in the datasheet of this product. The datasheet says that the Tphl and Tplh are the same as Tpd which means the PWD is 0. I think this is not true because i measured a increase of pulse width of 1 ns in my application. And i also want to know the PWD over the complete temperature range.

Could you help me to find this information?

Kind regards,

Erik

  • Hi Erik

We do not test pulse width distortion. This will depend on the switching threshold of the buffer. Cmos inputs will have a threshold of about Vcc/2 wich should mean the distortion would be minimal. However the threshold is allowed to vary quite a bit as you can see by the Vih and Vil limits. So this means you could see a change in distortion from lot to lot.  If you need tight pulse width distortion you should use a clock driver part.  One of our CDCxxx parts would have pulse width distortion specs.
