Hi,
I am using the SN74AVC4T245 bus transceiver in a low power application. VCCA is always present and is +3V3. VCCB is not always present. When available it is +1V8. Currently the part is enabled all of the time.
To reduce power consumption I removed my signals connected to +3V3 when the +1V8 is not present. This had good results.
To get the lowest power consumption should I:
1. Remove VCCA if VCCB is not present or
2. Leave VCCA present and disable the part
All inputs to the part are low.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
