SN74CBTLV3245APW sequence

Hi all,

May I have your help to answer my customer's question? My customer want to know that the sequence needs in SN74CBTLV3245APW between OE pin and VCC pin.

What if EO pin is high level when Vcc pin is low level? Are switches switching when EO pin is maintaining high level then Vcc pin reaching high level from low level?

Thanks.

  • Henry,

My customer want to know that the sequence needs in SN74CBTLV3245APW between OE pin and VCC pin.

Once Vcc is applied, the chip will be operating normally.  This means that if /OE is low, A = B, and if /OE is high, the switch is open (disconnected).  I would recommend the customer to pull the /OE line to the state that they want prior to applying Vcc if possible.

What if EO pin is high level when Vcc pin is low level?

If the /OE pin is high when Vcc is low, A and B will be disconnected because the chip is not powered on.  Since the chip supports I_off, only 100 uA will be drawn from the outputs if voltages are applied to it externally.

Are switches switching when EO pin is maintaining high level then Vcc pin reaching high level from low level?

If the /OE pin is held high while Vcc is transitioned from off to on, then A and B will remain disconnected throughout the process.  They will only be connected when /OE is driven low and Vcc is on.
