Max Capacitance Loading SN74LVC1T45DCKR

Hi,

I used this part for my level shifter on MSP430 SPI Clock (SCLK) that drive 32 DUTs. The DUT clock pin has at least 20pF so the total is about 640pF. What is the max capacitance loading that this device can handle?

  • Hi Aaron, the max capacitance is not specified; it depends on how fast you are running the signal. The LVC family has high drive and should be a good family for driving a high-capacitive load; however, the best way to see the rise and fall times without testing the physical part is to use the device IBIS model. That should give you a good idea of what your signal integrity should look like.
  • Hi Ryan,

Thank you so much for your quick response. The device run at very slow clock around 1.25MHz. Do you think this is doable for driving at high capacitance?
