Hello Team,

Our customer has a condition that input Ax or Bx would be floating. I assume that input logic must be fixed to Low or High.

[Q1]
What happens in this condition ? I think the device may have large current. Would the device get damaged ?

[Q2]
Would the device have no damage if /OE=High, when Ax/Bx inputs are floating ?

Kawai-san,

I would recommend using SN74AVCH16T245, which is the same part but contains a bus-hold circuit to keep a valid logic level on the inputs that are left floating (without pull-up or pull-down resistors).

If they must use SN74AVC16T245, this document describes the effects of leaving inputs floating.
