Is the output of this driver is current limited? We have seen a few parts be damaged on startup, and are trying to recreate. It seems like the part is limiting current on the output.
To try to recreate the damage, we are directly shorting the output to power/gnd with the output in the opposite state. No damage is occurring and the extra current draw from the supply is in the ~25mA range during this shorting. We are seeing about a 30C rise in the part when we short it.
