Can you advise how long Vcc needs to be stable before the reset is released on this device

    Mark,
    The reset does not need to be held low on power-up unless you expect to see input triggers during that time. In that case, allow the minimum reset pulse width shown in Figure 10 of the datasheet (based on the capacitance used and supply voltage).
