Hello I am using 74HCT273 as expand to one of my Output port. The issue with this device is that when we turn on the power of the device all outputs gets on and the worst part of it i had same result in both logic condition i.e. output from IC 0 or 1 but the result is same on power on condition. how to nullify the condition?

    This device has a master reset which when activated (low) will keep outputs at logic low regardless of the clock or data input .You can tie this to Vcc through pullup resistor which should have the outputs low .

    The behavior of clocked devices output is unknown at power up until a valid clock signal arrives .More information can be found in the app note attached.
