SN74VMEH22501A

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74VMEH22501A

HI, In one of our assemblies, we plan to insert the SN74VMEH22501A as a bus driver. To limit the number of different component types in this assembly, I am planning to use the block even to drive some indicator LEDs, which will operate in pulsed mode. The LED will be driven by the output and therefore we would like to know if the IC limit the current to 100ma,at 25% duty-cycle. Unfortunately, the data sheet does not specify a permissible pulse handling for the block. Would the IC be affected by the reliability when such a pulse is generated to the LED..

  • Hi Kamal ,

i think you will be pushing the limits on the device with 100ma . If you see the abs max ratings ,100mA is the abs max in high or low state you can push though but it is certainly not recommended .continuous usage will be detrimental to the performance and reliability of the device .
