TXS0108EPWR; About ordering device name

Guru 11170 points

Hi all,

Ordering device name was described in datasheet P21.

What is the difference TXS0108EPWR and TXS0108EPWRG4?

Please let me know about it.

Best Regards,

Nagai

  • Hello Nagai,
I believe it means that the part has a different orientation (180 degrees) in the real. I will double check and let you know. I will also put it on my list of things to get corrected in our datasheets. Thanks for the catch.

  • Hello Nagai,
I did a quick search on what is meant for G4 by Typing "What is G4" on E2E at the top level before going into each of the specific forums, There are several links that popped up explaining the difference. I have put the one that summarized it the best. I recommend that you go up to the highest level on E2E and put in the search bar your question and you will get answers to any question that other customers have asked. E2E is a great tool in this way and will get you the fastest answers to your questions assuming they have been asked before. These are just a tip for making E2E a better tool for you.

"The longer answer is the G4 designator was used to insure RoHS supply during the transistion from non-RoHS to RoHS-only production. Now the device has entirely converted (converstion started in 2005 and was insured complete by Mar-2008).

We kept both "orderable" part numbers available so that any customer who added the G4 to the approved list could continue to order it without having to change their systems."
