Hello all,

I would like to use the SN74LVC1G17 Single Schmitt-Trigger in a motor control application : the Schmitt-Trigger would be used to transmit the IGBT PWM commands signals (frequency up to 20kHz).

Is this component well adapted to this application (in terms of speed, EMC, ...) ?

Hi Julien ,

Yes , the Schmitt trigger can work fine at 20Khz frequency . The logic devices are not a significant source of EMC however , it should be robust enough to not fall victim to EMC effects from the motor itself . I am unsure if we give any ratings for EMC unless it is space / military devices .
