Logic functions with open drain outputs

Hello,

I am looking for an OR gate with open drain output, which can preferably run off 5V supply. I see that TI has AND, NAND, and NOR gates that meet these criteria, but not an OR gate. Why is this? Am I missing something?

One could, of course, use a standard OR with an open drain buffer, but I was looking for a single chip solution, in the style of the many other logic parts TI has.

Hi Kevin ,

You seem to have done your research . I don't see any either for OR gate . You can either use NOR gate with an inverter as 2 chip solution .Both must be available in small DPW packages to have your total area to minimum . What's your business case , maybe we can look into the opportunities to see if its feasible .

Or i think you need an OR gate with open drain buffer .

Hi Shreyas,
Thanks for the reply. It's not worth investigating any further, honestly. I was going to control a PMOS load switch directly, but I will change that part to an integrated load switch (logic level control).
