Unconnected pins on SN74LVC16T245DGVR

Hi,

I want to use the Voltage level translator SN74LVC16T245DGVR.

It has 16 buffers, but i need only 12 of them. So what should be done with unconnected pins of the Translator at both sides ? (A side as well as B side).

Please let me know if anyone has information on this ASAP.

You can tie unused I/O pins to GND.

Hi Nirav,

Do you mena both the ends ?
i.e. Port A pins as well as Port B pins ?
Please suggest.

Nanjunda,

Technically, the unused pins that have been configured as inputs shouls be connected to GND.

For example, let's say you have the following setup:

1DIR = Low and pins 1A1,1A2, 1B1, and 1B2 are not used.
2DIR = High and pins 2A1,2A2, 2B1, and 2B2 are not used.

Then pins 1B1, 1B2, 2A1, and 2A2 should be tied to GND.
