Hello,

I’m looking at using the SN74LVC1G139 to drive some LEDs directly, but I’m not confident on what the MAX output voltage would be for VOL (Max voltage at the pin when output is driven low).

I’m looking to sink about 5mA at 3.3V. What is a realistic VOL MAX voltage under those conditions?

Hi Jamaal ,

I am unsure about the realistic Vol max at the particular spec .I would estimate that the typical Vol will be about 0.1V at 3.3V with 5mA .

Sorry to do this to you, but what would typical be at 10mA? We are thinking we may need to parallel LED's off each output.

Jamaal ,typical Vol would be about 0.15V .

Figure 15 of SCBA011: LVC Characterization Information shows the typical output drive:

For the max values, you have to interpolate from the datasheet's max values for 16 or 24 mA (for these currents, the output impedance is approximately constant).
