can I connect the thermal pad of the QFN package (RGY) directly to the ground plane?

Hi T Klein ,

if you are talking about the TS3L110 device , I would recommend to solder the thermal pad to the PCB ,electrically connected to the device gnd for best thermal and mechanical performance .
