TXB0104-Q1 OE pin

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0104-Q1

Hi Team,

I hav e some questions related to OE Pin.

As I know, TXB0104-Q1 can be controlled by the external signal from MCU and connecting from 5V bias to enable IC.

When 5V bias to OE pin is connected to enable, do I have to connect pull-up resistor? If yes, which resistance value is recommended?

And what do I have to caution to use the bias 5V?

Thanks,

WS

  • WS,

The OE pin can be tied directly to 5V (i.e. no pullup resistor needed). This will keep the TXB0104-Q1 permanently enabled. The customer will not be able to switch between enabling and disabling the TXB0104-Q1.

A pullup resistor on the OE pin is required if the application requires enabling and disabling of the TXB0104-Q1. The pullup resistance value must be properly selected so that an external controller (e.g. MCU) can pull the OE pin below the VIL threshold (shown below). I can go into more detail if that is necessary.
