TXS0108 fro 20Mhz clock level shift

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXS0108E

Hi team,

My customer  wants to use the TXS0108 to do 20Mhz clock 3.3v to 1.8v level shift. So can we use the chip? Do you have some recommendations?

For the open drain and push-pull, it's decided by the device connect with the output of the device, right? Could you please explain the principles?

Thank you.

BR

Frank

  • Frank,

TXS0108E can be used to translate a 20 MHz clock provided. This is indicated in the Timing Requirements section of the datasheet (see below).

Keep in mind that VCCA can't exceed VCCB. So VCCA = 1.80V and VCCB = 3.30V.

This app note explains the TXS architecture and its ability to support open-drain and push-pull interfaces of the device that it connects with.

    Best Regards,
    Nirav
