I'd like to use this part between a chain of TMP107 temp sensors and a MCU's UART interface; see the figure on page #1 of TI document SBOS716B (figure labeled Typical Application).

To mount just one of these parts, any suggestions for a ready-made PCB with mounting holes (for standoffs) and thru-hole provisions for soldering I/O wires and resistors as shown in the above referenced figure, plus a 0.1 uF bypass cap (cap not shown in the figure)?

I'd use the DBV package of the SN74LVC1G125 unless I'm advised to use another one.

Hi Jeffrey ,

The sn74LVC1G125 is 3-state output buffer which is available in leaded surface mount package of DBV . For a smaller form factor you could consider using DCK. The DPW is the smallest logic package in 0.8mm x 0.8mm with 0.5mm pitch. The land pattern information is available in the datasheet page 23.

Okay, thanks. Can you recommend an alternate part in a larger package, e.g., DIP. I have no experience soldering SMT parts. The application is the buffer for a string of TMP107 chips, as described in TI document SBOS716B.

for smaller logic device , we do not offer PDIP packages as I know . the PDIP you suggested is for a quad buffer. PDIP will be easier to solder as against SMT parts..
