A circuit using TL1431 has 5Vdc at cathode pin and 8Vdc at REF pin. The REF input current is about 10uA and below the max 10mA.
Questions:
(1) Can the REF pin voltage go above the cathode pin and how high above is allowed?
(2) If the REF input current is less than the 10mA limit, does the IC operate in safe range?
