SN74AUP1G17 Vt+ and Vt-

I have checked some post on the E2E for this question. However I do not understand exactly meanings of Vt+ and Vt-.

Vt+ means that the input range for high output. (the output is high level when the input voltage higher than the Vt+ (1.88 ~ 2.29V @Vcc=3V)

Vt- means that the input range for low output. (the output is low level when the input voltage lower than the Vt- (0.88~1.24V@3V)

Is my understanding correct?

Hi Koji ,

Vt is the threshold voltage and is a characteristic of the Schmitt trigger devices.

Please refer to this app note (page 35) which talks about the Vt and the hysteresis of the schmitt trigger devices : www.ti.com/.../szza036c.pdf

Understanding schmitt trigger device app note is also a great read to understand the usefulness of ST devices and talks about the Vt+ and Vt-.
