chip failure for this sn74ls08, predict the output status

Hi team,

Customer would like to know what's the output status when chip failure happened at SN74LS08?

How to predict this if possible?

Maybe we can try to add a pull-up/down resistor(or other steps) to get a known status after failure happened.

Please provide your suggestion for this case.

    What exactly do you mean with "chip failure"? Do you have a specific problem with this happening?

    In general, it might be possible for a failed output to drive high or low (or both), in which case a pull resistor would not help.
